Designation of a neighbourhood area

Great Gransden Parish Council's application for the designation of a neighbourhood area relating to the whole of the parish was approved on 30 July 2018. The text of the designation is as follows:

An application for designation of a neighbourhood area was received from Great Gransden Parish Council by Huntingdonshire District Council on 7 July 2018.
 
In accordance with regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 as amended Huntingdonshire District Council is satisfied that the application includes: a. a map which identifies the area to which the area application  relates; b. a statement explaining why this area is considered appropriate to be designated as a neighbourhood area; and c. a statement that the organisation or body making the area application is a relevant body for the purposes of section 61G of the 1990 Act.
 
In accordance with regulation 5A of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 as amended this application is: a. from a parish  council; b. the area specified in the application consists of the whole of the parish council’s area; and c. no part of the specified area is part of a pre-existing neighbourhood area.
 
Therefore, as set out in regulation 5A(3), regulations 6 (Publicising an area application) and 6A (Prescribed date for determination of an area application) do not apply.  As such, in accordance with regulation 5A(2) of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 as amended, Great Gransden Parish is hereby designated as a neighbourhood area.
